Body piercings are becoming more and more popular as time goes on. Many people have ear, nose, lip, eyebrow, belly button, or even hip piercings. I myself have my ears pierced, and would like to get my belly button pierced. In pop culture many sorts of piercings are socially acceptable, but I find many quite disgusting. Here is my list of piercings that I find acceptable or not.
- Belly button piercings: yes. I find these very cute and hip. I like them very much.
- Nose piercings: yes and no. If it is a small stud on the side of your nose I think it can look nice, but if it is a large ring or a large ring going through the center between your nostrils I think it looks overly intimidating and I find these unattractive.
- Eyebrow piercings: no, I find these very unattractive.
- Lip piercings: yes and no. If it is merely a small ring on the side of you mouth it can look good, but large ones or multiple mouth piercings look trashy.
- Cheek piercings: just no. I think they are disgusting.
- Nipple piercings: no. I don’t care if you are male or female I think these are disgusting and are painful just to look at.
- Hip piercings: no. I personally dislike these and just like nipple piercings, they’re just plain painful to look at.
- Any piercings south of your hips are a no in my book as well, both eww and ow!
- Ear piercings: yes mostly, it depends on the place.
- Helix: yes
- Industrial/Scaffold: yes
- Dermal Punch: yes
- Forward Helix: yes
- Snug: yes
- Rook: yes
- Conch/Shell: no. I personally do not like the way these look.
- Anti-Tragus: yes
- Tragus: yes
- Lobe: yes
- Transverse Lobe: no. I find these disgusting.
- Diath: yes
And just because this is what I like doesn’t mean it’s what you like. These are all my personal opinions. If yours are different, then yours are different. I simply put this up if you were unsure on a piercing. And don’t be offended if you have a piercing that is on the list that I dislike. These are all just my personal opinions. But no matter what if you are going to get something pierced remember to keep it clean to avoid infection.
