From the start you can customize each for your child. Just connect a cord from Violet to a USB port and you are ready to go. There are options to select your child’s name and Violet will say it while playing songs or a game. Parents are even able to select the playlist for their child. There are close to 30 tunes to choose from such as the classics like “Muffin Man” and “Mary Had a Little Lamb.”
You can also choose lullabies. Again, all of the usual suspects and more. It is great because by pressing the moon button on Violet’s right hind leg, you can get two, five or ten minutes of bedtime music. This comes in handy during nap times or night-night time.
Another fun feature is the play button on Violet’s right front paw. Pushing this button will prompt a short little bout of fun. For instance, you can help Violet get rid of her hiccups by counting with her. She even does animal sounds with your child.
Violet is unique because you can program not only the name of your little one but also his favorite animal, food and even color. Then LeapFrog takes that and interlaces it into all kinds of fun activities.
